This video shows the of preparing Griz for wearing ear protection.
The pair I’m using here isn’t sized for his big ol’ head 😂—but the training is all about desensitization and helping him get comfortable with having gear on.
👉 Why teach this?
- Some service dogs need ear protection in helicopters or small airplanes ✈️🚁
- Loud events like concerts, fireworks, or sporting games 🎆🎶🏟️
- Busy places with sirens, machinery, or construction noise 🚒🔨
The goal isn’t the exact fit—it’s showing the process of helping your dog stay confident and relaxed when wearing something new. Training like this builds trust and makes life easier for you AND your service dog. 💪🐶
