๐จ๐ Floating an Idea โ A Community Where You Can Learn and Earn
Gโday team, Iโve been thinking a lot about what HEFF Creative can becomeโฆ and I want to share a little idea with you all.
This may or may not play out exactly as I picture it, but hereโs the vision:
A creative community where you can learnโฆ and also earn if you want to.
I want HEFF Creative to be the kind of place where people come not only to grow their skills, share their art, and be inspired โ but also a place where the outside world can come in and say:
โHey team, Iโm looking for an artwork โ who can help me?โ
Imagine a simple โCommission Wallโ where people can post:
- โI need a caricature for my great uncle.โ
- โIโd love a large abstract for my townhouse.โ
- โIโm filling a whole house and want custom art.โ
- โIโm looking for a high-end entry piece for a hotel.โ
- โI need a cute teddy illustration for my granddaughter.โ
- โI want a landscape in soft colours for my living room.โ
And you โ our artists, creators, makers and all-round legends โ can respond if itโs something youโd like to take on.
We already have such a great mix here:โ a cartoonistโ a 3D rendererโ a landscape artistโ abstract paintersโ character designersโ hobbyists rediscovering their spark
Some of you might never want to sell a single artwork โ and thatโs totally fine. Some of you might love the idea of creating something special for someone. Some of you might turn this into a little side income or even a full-on creative path.
Whatever success looks like for you, I want to help you get there.
๐ Keeping This Free (How You Can Help)
Now โ real talk โ it does cost me a bit to run this community and keep it open for everyone.
I want to keep HEFF Creative free forever if I can. I want people to learn from me and from each other without worrying about fees or barriers.
So if this commission idea takes off, all Iโd set up is:
โ A completely optional tip jar.
Not mandatory. Not expected. Not judged. Just there if you want to throw in a couple of bucks to support the space.
Honestly โ if it ever comes down to tipping me or buying yourself a coffee, buy the coffee. Your presence here is already huge.
But if HEFF Creative helps you land a commission or grow your confidence, and you want to contribute, youโll be able to โ simple as that.
๐ Why Iโm Excited
Because I can already see it:
- artists coming together
- skill-sharing
- people getting real paid jobs
- beginners discovering their talent
- returning artists finding their groove again
- kindness, support, encouragement
- a creative community built on generosity, not ego
I want this to be something special. For you. For whoever finds us. For the next generation of artists who never thought they had it in them.
