How to create personal content that attracts your tribe
In this episode of Ditch Your Lead Vendor with Sean Whalen, we break down how studying creators you admire can help you create more authentic content. The goal isn’t to copy them. Study how they tell stories, share their personality, and connect with their audience beyond what they sell. Your homework: create four videos. One about what you do. Three about your personal stories, experiences, or beliefs that connect with the audience you want to attract.

Your content feels fake. Here's the fix 🎬
Last week's call recording is up. We brought in Sean Whalen, actor from Twister and The People Under the Stairs, 20+ years in commercials — to teach us something no sales trainer can: how to actually be yourself on camera. A few things he said that stuck with me: → "Actors and salespeople are liars." He got told that once and said it's backwards. Acting is telling the truth in an imaginary circumstance. Same with selling. → The people who say "I hate sales" are usually the best at it. Nobody wants to be sold. Everybody wants a friend who tells them the truth. → Give more than you ask for. Three real videos to one pitch. That's the ratio. Then he coached Heather live for about 20 minutes and helped her build an entire content identity from scratch, out of a beach walk and a story she'd been carrying for 20 years. Your homework before next week: find one creator you genuinely trust. Not political. Write down three specific reasons they feel authentic to you. Bring it to the call. Watch it. Then go post something real. 👇 Drop your creator in the comments when you find them.
