word of the day....
Samskara (or Sanskara). it's a Sanskrit word meaning "impression", and it is used in yogic tradition to describe an unfinished energy pattern.
Samskaras are blockages, impressions from the past. they are unfinished energy patterns that accumulate in your mind and body and can significantly influence your life if not addressed.
resistance to these patterns causes the energy to remain stuck or continue cycling because there is no place for it to go if we don't let it.
Samskaras can be past relationships, traumas, insecurities, and fears that get stored in our heart with specific details of an event that could not pass through. it interacts with the flow of current thoughts and experiences.
when a Samskara is stimulated, it opens like a flower and releases stored energy and you begin to feel what you experienced when the original event took place.
we all have them... and after learning about this word i wondered what life would look like if we all simply allowed experiences- good and bad, to come in and pass.
we have the power to let them go, to free ourselves of these patterns, but it begins with awareness.
what Samskara has greatly impacted your life, and you are ready to let go of?
