Getting Started- Materials You'll Need!
Getting Started- Materials You'll Need!
Making art need not be an expensive process, so where possible I always use cheap materials. There are times when you want to make sure of the quality of what you're using or you might, in that case knowing the differences in quality of different brands is important (I'll share a funny story about this below). The most expensive isn't always the best but that said, sometimes getting the cheapest is a waste of money. Here are the basic items for most of the workshops.

Creativity in Your Hands!
Creativity in Your Hands!
This workshop uses our hands- our left and our right hand- to create two sides of of our art piece. What you decide to put in your hands is up to you! You can use each hand to capture an opposing theme in your life or topic. One hand can represent where you are now, the other, where you want to be. OR You can unite both hands and illustrate an over all unity and harmony you'd like to bring into your life. Use words, colours, drawings, squiggles, anything you want to fill those hands.

Getting Oily
Getting Oily
Oil Pastels are an affordable and effective art material that can be used in many different ways to create different effects on paper. This course will cover how to find good oil pastels, the basics of how to use them and a few techniques such as blending and building up colour depth. Oil Pastels can get messy! If you don't like getting your hands dirty, you might want to wear gloves when working with them, as your hands and fingers will usually end up smudged with pigments.
