Using Teams for training
I have a copilot training scheduled. The company wants to use Teams instead of Zoom. My presentation is created in Canva. I spent—I kid you not—4 hours trying to figure out how to share the presentation via Teams. I finally figured out it only works to share my Canva presentation if I connect with the desktop version and not the browser. Am I missing something? Would love to know if you’ve experienced this too
Website building
One thing I've been putting off for far too long is building a proper website for my business. Not because I don't think websites matter. Quite the opposite. I've just always prioritised client work, content creation, training, speaking, learning new skills, and pretty much everything else ahead of it. For years, when people asked, "Can you send me your website?" I never really had a good answer, I'd say let's connect on linkedin or I will send you an email or let's set up a call to chat, but it's always been something that was missing. The funny thing is, it doesn't even need to be complicated. It doesn't need to be a membership site, an app, a funnel, a CRM, and a marketing machine all rolled into one. Sometimes a website just needs to do its job as a digital brochure. A place where people can quickly understand who you are, what you do, and how to work with you. I'm finally working on mine now using Claude and Lovable, and it's making the process far less intimidating than it used to be. By the way summer can also be a great time to work on business infrastructure. While things are a little quieter for some industries, it's an opportunity to improve systems, test ideas, upskill, and get ready for a busy autumn. How are you building your website? Share your website below, or tell us where you're at with it. And if you'd like feedback, support, or a second pair of eyes from the community, just ask. Let's help each other build better businesses. Remember done is better than perfect, and I know I need take my own advice on this one 😅 Architect Anna

Let's talk about sales
I get a lot of questions about sales and I've been designing an optimised sales funnel for a while now and I'm hoping I can push myself to start testing it out soon, but I figured why not give you guys a sneak peak into how it would work in case it will be helpful for your business. Okay first off sales funnels are only really useful if you are starting to or wanting to sell at scale, so if you're not at that stage yet, don't stress yourself out. I started my business over three years ago and only feel like maybe now is the time to really push things to the next level. My special sales funnel (currently in theory, testing soon) Step 0 - Be constantly present on social media building my trust and authority (in progress) Step 1 - Create/advertise a highly engaging, high value, curiosity driven live masterclass (30-60 minutes) This will be for free, targeting my ideal clients, they are the top clients I want all the way at the end of this funnel, but you will get a lot of other people coming through that might not be as much of a qualified lead. Sales is a numbers game. I will use organic reach and paid ads to get people signed up to the masterclass and reminders to have them show up. I have not been great with email marketing in the past, but that is also something I want to improve this year. Step 2 - Run the masterclass and tell people there will be a bonus gift for people that stay to the end (and also need to be on the live call, this will help in the messaging ahead of the call to increase show up rate) The bonus gift will be an AI diagnostic prompt to help them identify their personal and business weak points and where AI could be most valuable as well as identifying the opportunity cost of what would happen if they were to delay taking action (this will create a bit of urgency which will be important later) Step 2.5 - At the end of the masterclass along with the AI diagnostic prompt, give them a second bonus (always trying to overdeliver) and invite people to book a free 30 minute AI diagnostic call with me (this is a sales call, but there are lots of names for sales calls now because people do not want to be sold to, but they do want their problems solved and are willing to pay for the solutions. Other names for sales calls you might have heard of; A discovery call, a strategy call, an intro call, a consultation etc)
I really needed to hear this today
I published Season 2 Episode 10 of my podcast today about making your goals non-negotiable and honestly… I needed that reminder myself. The last couple of weeks have been a bit all over the place. Recovery from surgery, trying to get back to work, rebuilding routines, creating new partnerships, exhaustion, overthinking, all of it. And if I’m being totally honest, I’ve slipped a bit with posting every single day. After posting consistently for over 18 months, not posting every day has sort of knocked my confidence in myself. So when listening to this weeks episode it actually snapped my resolve back into place and I have recommitted to my non-negotiable of posting daily on social media. It helped me remember why I started all of this in the first place and what building daily consistency really means for my business and my long term goals. Sometimes it can feel pointless to do so much work and not see instant results, but instant results are almost never the way. The opportunities are still coming in, things are still happening in their own time and this is definitely not the moment to slow down or disappear. Life happens sometimes, you slip, you get tired, you forget why you started and you lose momentum for a minute. But the important thing is getting back on track instead of pretending you never fell off. So yeah… this is me getting back on track. And if you’re feeling a bit disconnected from your goals recently too, maybe Episode 10 will help you as much as it helped me today.
