“How do you know law is the right career path for you?”
A pre-law student asked me recently: “How do you know law is the right career path for you?” Most people answer that question wrong. They talk about: – being good at arguing – wanting job security – wanting to make good money That’s not the real question. The real question is: Did God call you to this work? Because law will demand more than your intellect. It will demand your time, your emotions, your integrity, and at some point—your obedience. If you’re going into law because: – your mom or dad is a lawyer – you like the title – you want the income – someone told you you’d be “good at it” That motivation won’t sustain you when the work gets heavy, the system feels broken, or the cost becomes personal. Calling will. When you’re called, the “why” is clear. When you’re not, burnout comes fast. Law is not just a career path. It’s a responsibility. And not everyone is meant to carry it. Before you ask whether law is right for you, ask whether you’ve been sent. That answer changes everything. #TheAnointedAttorney #ChristianLawyer #PreLaw #LawStudent #Calling #Lawyer
