There was magic in the air tonight as we gathered for our class. We planted 🌿 seeds and had our fire 🔥 ceremony. It was windy today, but the wind died down just before we lit the fire. Cards drawn spoke of abundance. We saw a beautiful feminine being holding out her hand to us in the stormy clouds. The fire burned fast and clean, eager to burn away the old and open new timelines. Next month we will meet in a park near my house around solstice to watch the fireflies dance ✨️

I created something new. I've been researching via the internet, my skincare school, Formula Botanica, and using the resources in Herb Gals to develop an insect repellent lotion. I started researching last September. It turned out great! It has a nice skinfeel, oily at first and then it soaks in, leaving the skin feeling super soft. I infused my garden rosemary into the avocado 🥑 and jojoba oils. I'm sampling this to my members and anyone else who wants to try it. I was going to use my garden plantain glycerite, but I'm running low and want to save that for our family. Next batch I will use that. I have to wait for the plantain to grow here. The neem oil starts to solidify at room temperature so I dipped it in a warm water bath.

We're taking it slow and easy during the warm months. There won't be a formal class tomorrow, but if you sign up for class, I will host a Zoom meeting for casual discussion about planting and which plant you have decided to get to know better. I bought two holy basil plants during our Boychuk Greenhouses tour last weekend and I'm going to plant some of my own harvested seeds and another herbalist's seeds that I found with the dried holy basil I bought from him last week. You can see how tiny the holy basil seeds are in the photos. My first magic encounter with the plants was in making this post. I was ready to put the two plants back in the sun and this little ladybug jumped on one of the plants!

Today was a beautiful sunny 🌞 day for our tour. It was great to meet up in person and share our joy for spring beginning here (finally!). After the tour, I went for a nature walk with my family at a nature preserve in our city. We will visit community members' gardens and share skills over the warm months.
