Two Pots Parable...
Have you heard this old story about a water bearer who carried two pots across his shoulders each day? One pot was perfect, it delivered every drop of water to the master’s house. The other pot was cracked. By the time the water bearer reached home, that pot had leaked half its water along the path. For years, the cracked pot felt ashamed. It apologized daily for its flaw... for not being as strong... as useful... or as worthy as the other pot. One morning, the water bearer smiled and said, “Have you noticed the beautiful flowers growing along your side of the path? I planted seeds there, knowing your crack would water them every day. Without you, this beauty wouldn’t exist.” That’s how God works with us too. We look at our cracks ... ... our failures, weaknesses, or wounds... and call them disqualifications. But God looks at them and sees purpose. He sees where His living water can flow through us to nourish others. The truth is... your imperfections are intentional instruments of grace. They make space for His light, His love, and His strength to shine through. You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful in God’s hands. He uses the broken to bring beauty. He uses the weak to show His strength. He uses the ones who’ve been cracked open to pour His love into the world. “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” — 2 Corinthians 4:7 Drop an "AMEN" if you are broken... because we all are... and I hope you see your broken-ness is beautiful!
