Whats your opinion on auctions?

Hi everyone,

Today, while I was setting up a few auctions on eBay, I was reminded of how much fun I used to have bidding on and auctioning items! It got me thinking about whether it's still possible to make money this way. After all, many individuals and auction houses have built entire empires around it.

How do you approach auctions? Does anyone have experience with buying and selling goods at regular auctions? I think one major advantage is that the timing of cash flow is defined, although the amount isn't. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
