Start here. (Read this first)
Welcome to the Rebuild Club. You used to be an athlete. Then a career happened. This is where you get it back — structured training, a real scoreboard, and a room full of people doing the same thing around the same kind of schedule. Your first three moves: 1. Drop an intro below the intro post (what sport you played, what you're chasing). 2. Open the classroom and read START HERE — 20 minutes, sets up everything. 3. Run your baseline this week and post the numbers. Training paths open August 1. Until then: baseline, get moving with the Reset, and get to know the room. — Coach Ty

This Month's Baseline: Time to Test Your Mile
Quick heads up on programming — August is baseline month. If you haven't logged a mile time trial yet, get it in this week. Doesn't matter if you're on Speed or Endurance, everyone tests the same distance. Run it wherever's convenient — track, treadmill, road — just be honest with the effort. Why it matters: we retest this same mile in December. That number becomes your proof. Not a vibe, not "I feel fitter" — an actual time you can put next to your August one and see the work paid off. Drop your result in the comments when you run it. I'll be doing mine this week too.

The threshold test didn't lie.
Ran a lactate threshold test this week — one of those numbers you don't usually see, but it tells the whole story of where my half marathon training actually stands right now. It came back at 6:57/mile at 183bpm. That's basically the same number as my 1:35 goal pace. Three weeks into the build, threshold and goal pace are sitting right on top of each other — which is exactly where you want to be this deep in. Here's the catch: my recent 5K and 10K efforts are pointing toward something faster than 1:35. Low 1:30s territory. So now I've got a decision to make — hold the goal I set at the start, or move it and chase something harder. Still working through it. This is the part nobody sees — the testing, the math, the second-guessing mid-block. Still part of the job.

You're not out of shape. You're out of position.
Eight hours in a chair does something specific. Hip flexors shorten. Glutes go quiet. Upper back rounds forward. Then you lace up, and your stride feels short and your knees start talking to you. That's not lost fitness. That's a body stuck in the shape of a desk. The fix is smaller than you'd think, and it doesn't cost you your evening. Two things, most days: - Sit in the bottom of a deep squat for 90 seconds. Just breathe there. - 10 slow hip bridges before bed to wake the glutes back up. Do that for a week before you touch pace or mileage. Move better first — everything you stack on top of it gets easier. Where does your body lock up first after a full workday? Drop it below.

Monday. Week starts now.
I'm on Week 2 of my half marathon block chasing 1:35 off a 1:42 PR. Today's a lift and mobility day. It's the part nobody films, and it's the part that keeps you healthy enough to actually run when you've got a full workday and life stacked on top of it. Here's what I want from you this week: Pick one thing. Not five. One. Speed track, maybe that's hitting every interval at pace instead of fading on the last rep. Endurance track, maybe it's getting the long run in without cutting it short at mile 8. Drop your one focus in the comments. Saying it out loud in here means someone's going to ask how it went on Friday. Let's work.
