DON’T LET YOUR MOUTH FORFEIT THE FIGHT “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14 (KJV) Men… lean in We’ve prayed about it. We’ve worked for it. We’ve believed God for it. But here’s the question: What have we been saying about it? You can have discipline in the gym, discipline with your money, discipline on your job, and still be undisciplined with your words. Watch this… Spiritual maturity is knowing that everything you feel doesn’t deserve to be spoken. When you’re tired, watch your mouth. When you’re frustrated, watch your mouth. When things aren’t moving fast enough, watch your mouth. Because pressure will always try to make you speak from your frustration instead of your faith. A mature man doesn’t deny what he sees. He simply refuses to give what he sees more authority than what God said. So as we finish this week, don’t allow exhaustion to change your confession. Don’t speak death over your marriage. Don’t speak defeat over your children. Don’t speak failure over your assignment. Don’t speak quitting over something God told you to finish. Your circumstances may be speaking—but they don’t get the final word. Men, finish this week with excellence. Finish disciplined. Finish faithful. And finish speaking like a man who knows whose he is. RAW. REAL. ROOTED. All the King’s Men
