Hula & Tahitian Dance: From First Steps to Full Confidence
Madisa Marlor is a Polynesian dance educator who teaches with the warmth, connection, and family spirit that shaped her upbringing. Her training comes through the Hālau Alanaʻia and continued mentorship from cultural practitioners across Hawaiʻi, Tahiti, and the wider Pacific. This foundation gives her both the technical skill and cultural grounding to teach Hawaiian hula and Tahitian ‘ori with authenticity and respect. Her teaching is rooted in values that feel like home—family, community, and genuine care for every learner who walks through the door. She has taught children, parents, military families, and complete beginners, creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and part of something meaningful. Her classes blend correct technique with storytelling, laughter, and the joy of moving together, making Polynesian dance accessible to all ages. Through Alanaʻia Polynesian Dance Company, Madisa brings island culture to the Gulf Coast in a way that honors tradition while building a community that feels like family. Her mission is to help students connect—to the culture, to the movement, and to each other—so that every class becomes a place of belonging and shared aloha.
