What’s the hardest part about editing videos?
For me, it’s not the technical stuff—it’s the decisions. 👉 What to keep vs. what to cut. 👉 How long should a clip stay before it feels boring? 👉 Which sound design or transition actually adds to the story instead of distracting? I feel like editing is less about software and more about judgment. 🔹 What do you struggle with the most in editing—technical (tools, shortcuts, software) or creative (storytelling, pacing, flow)? 🔹 And how do you personally push through those challenges? Let’s make this a thread where we share experiences + solutions 👇

📌 The 80/20 of Editing
They say 20% of your effort creates 80% of the results. I think the same applies to editing. For me, that 20% is: 🎬 Pacing → deciding how fast/slow the cuts should feel. 🎧 Sound design → little effects + music choice that make everything feel alive. Those two alone can take an average video and make it feel professional. 👉 What’s the 20% for you — the editing skills that make the biggest difference in your work?
