Kling 2.0!!!! Rip Runway Gen 4? 👀🪦
Alright as you guys know a few weeks back Runway dropped Gen 4. Now personally, i felt like it was an upgrade... but lets be honest, Runway was playing catchup with the types of outputs that Kling 1.6, Luma Ray 2, and Google Veo 2 had already been producing for months. If you recall, I also mentioned at that time that we were likely to see something new drop from Kling in response to Runway Gen 4. Well ladies and gents today is the day! Kling 2.0 is here and OH. MY. GOD. Kling really looked at Gen 4 and said "thats cute, lets raise the bar." Here's the bullet points on what got upgraded: - better prompt adherence: this means better response to actions, expressions, and camera movements. And this improves Kling's ability to handle long complex prompts, giving you even more control. - better dynamics: Check out the 2 dinosaur clips i attached to see the difference this makes in action! - improved visual aesthetics: more expressions for actors, more cinematic visuals, better style consistency. - Multi-Elements: From the previews this looks extremely similar to Pika Swaps & Pika Additions! Looking way more useable, very interesting. - Kolors 2.0: this is their image generator. It got a nice bump in quality, im probably still just sticking to using midjourney though. - Image editing: again, kinda interesting, but realistically still just gonna use midjourney. - Image restyling: ehhh.. chatgpt and midjourney for the win. Images isn't really what we use Kling for. Alright, thats all the bullet points from the official release. You can find more visual examples and view the official release notes here: https://app.klingai.com/global/release-notes And on a final note here, better quality comes with a price. Kling 2.0 generations cost more credits. Heres how the numbers breakdown: - Kling 1.6 costs 70 credits to create a 10 second video. - Kling 2.0 costs 200 credits to create a 10 second video. Personally, if i know 2.0 is gonna put out better quality, i'm fine with the credit bump. Use 1.6 for basic scenes and 2.0 for high dynamic action scenes.
