Here's your guide from the video 👇 RULE 1: THE 180° RULE Imagine a line between your two characters. The camera must stay on ONE side of it. If character A is on the left looking right, character B must be on the right looking left, in every shot. ✍️ Add to your prompt: "[Character A] on the left of frame looking toward frame-right. [Character B] on the right of frame looking toward frame-left. Camera stays on the same side throughout." RULE 2: OVER THE SHOULDER Keep a blurred shoulder of the listener in the foreground, so the viewer always knows who is talking to whom. ✍️ Add to your prompt: "Over-the-shoulder shot, the out-of-focus shoulder and back of the head of [Character B] in the right foreground, [Character A] in sharp focus speaking." RULE 3: EYELINES Characters look just past the lens, never straight into it. Staring into the lens feels creepy and breaks the scene. ✍️ Add to your prompt: "Looking just past the lens toward [frame-right/frame-left] at the other character, not into the camera." 🔥 BREAK THE RULES ON PURPOSE Cross the line only when you WANT the viewer to feel lost (a twist, panic, a dream). 💬 Try it: make a 2-shot conversation using all 3 rules and post it below. I'll give feedback.
