🔥 Breaking Into Client Work – What Actually Works?

I recently joined and I’m excited to be here.
I’m currently building AI automation systems (mainly focused on practical workflows that improve response time, follow-up, and operational efficiency). My goal now is simple: land my first paying clients and validate my offer in the real market.
I’m not looking for theory — I’m looking for what actually worked.
For those who’ve already landed their first few clients:
- What channel brought your first real win? (Upwork, cold DMs, referrals, local outreach, something else?)
- What did you do differently that made someone trust you without a long track record?
- If you were starting again from zero today, what would you focus on first?
I believe solving real business problems is the priority — but I’m refining the acquisition side now.
