🔬 Halloween Project, "Shadow of the Vampire"

Happy Halloween, Lab members! I wanted to share my latest AI short film project: a pseudo-trailer for "Shadow of the Vampire," a fictional campy horror flick with a strong 1970s Giallo aesthetic!

This was a fun, rapid experiment to show how quickly one can achieve a highly specific genre look using a mix of powerful generative AI tools and traditional post-production techniques.

🎬 My AI Filmmaking Workflow:

⏺️ Imagery: I used Midjourney to generate the initial imagery. This allowed me precise control over the visual style, composition, and dramatic lighting (essential for those deep reds and blues!).

⏺️ Animation: I brought those stills to life using Kling for subtle, controlled camera movement and animation, transforming static images into dynamic trailer shots.

⏺️ Voiceover: The dramatic, vintage-style narrator was generated by ElevenLabs. This was key to nailing the authentic trailer sound.

⏺️ Music: The final tension and atmosphere were set with music sourced from Epidemic Sound.

⏺️ Post-Production: I assembled the final cuts in Premiere Pro, and I added finishing effects using Dehancer to achieve that authentic film grain, color grading, and vintage film texture.

This project is proof you can go from basic concept to a full-fledged trailer in a matter of days.
