I just figured out the best next step for this community.
I just figured out the best next step for this community. I’m moving it to AI Builders Club on Whop: https://buildersclub-ai.whop.site/ I think it’s a much better setup for what I want this community to become. The biggest change is that it’s built around chatrooms instead of forums. I’ve never liked communities where people feel like they have to spam posts just to earn points on a leaderboard. It never helped me, and I don’t think it creates much value. AI Builders Club will be much more direct. We can share what we’re building, ideas, problems, feedback, memes, useful finds, and whatever else comes up without turning everything into a formal post. Text is king. Fast communication is the point. I’ve been running this community for over a year, watching who joins, removing bots and suspicious accounts, and seeing a lot of genuinely talented people stick around. I’d like to see at least half of the current community move over. The people who do should benefit from having a much faster way to talk, help each other, and share useful things without relying on DMs or waiting around for replies. You can join for free here: https://whop.com/builders-club-drewskii/get-in-free/ Signing up on Whop is simple. I just used Gmail. I’ll sunset the current community in the next 1–2 weeks, so there’s plenty of time to move over and ask anything before then. I’m also documenting the whole migration. Once it’s done, I’ll probably turn it into a case study for anyone thinking about doing something similar.

I’m trying to get out of the “great Figma file, nowhere to go” trap
Anyone else ever finish a design and then realize the next step is basically… “okay, now I need a developer”? 😅 That gap has been bugging me lately. I’ve been experimenting with treating the whole thing less like a design handoff and more like one continuous process: Context → Concept → Prototype → Build → Ship For the actual workflow, I’ve been using Figma for the design and prototyping, ChatGPT or Claude to help work through ideas and turn the structure into something buildable, and Floment to keep the projects, tasks, and actual shipping work organized. The biggest difference for me has been not asking AI to magically figure everything out from a screenshot. If I already know the context, the concept, and how the prototype should work, the AI part becomes way more useful. And honestly, the Ship phase is the one I’m trying to get better at. A beautiful design sitting in Figma is nice. A working URL is a lot more satisfying. Curious how other designers here handle that transition. Do you usually hand things off to a developer, build it yourself, or use tools like AI and Floment somewhere in the middle?
What brings me here?
Hello everybody, My name is Abdessamed, a brand identity designer from Algeria. I’ve been into graphic design since 2016, but in 2022 I decided to fully dedicate myself to branding and learning how to build complete identity systems and visual worlds for brands. What brings me here? Simply, I discovered Andreas’ YouTube channel, and it introduced me to a completely new type of content. I learned a lot from it, especially when it comes to integrating AI into the workflow of building visual systems. To be honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of AI at first, but seeing how it can enhance creativity and efficiency completely changed my perspective. I also really liked the idea of being part of a community of like-minded people where we can share experiences, learn from each other, and exchange knowledge. I’m genuinely excited to be here. Last but not least, I’ve recently been challenging myself to become faster and more efficient when building brand identities, especially with the help of AI, while still making sure every project delivers strong strategic thinking, solid branding foundations, and good design aesthetics on top of it.
