I recently had the opportunity to do my first AI training for a local entrepreneurs’ group I’m part of. It was a pretty basic introductory training on how small business owners can start using AI, but it was still a huge step for me.
The opportunity came simply from mentioning that I work with AI. The business coach who runs the group heard that and asked if I’d be willing to teach a session on it.
I definitely don’t see myself as an expert yet, but I realized I know enough to help business owners understand the basics, see what’s possible, and take a few practical next steps.
And the best part is that now I’m on a lot more people’s radar. A few people came up afterward and said they’d be interested in meeting and having a conversation, so I’m hopeful some opportunities may come from it.
I’m super grateful for people like Nate Herk and others who share so much valuable information for free. A lot of what I’ve learned has come from just watching, learning, implementing, and taking the next step.
So I just wanted to encourage anyone else who feels like they’re “not ready yet.” You may not need to be 10 steps ahead. Sometimes you just need to be 1 or 2 steps ahead of the people you’re trying to help.
Keep putting yourself out there. Mention what you’re doing. Share what you’re learning. You never know what doors might open.
Curious — has anyone else here had the chance to give an AI training or gotten an opportunity just from putting yourself out there?
