n8n Email Automation: Is it Gmail only, or is the sky the limit?

Experience with Email automation using n8n and notice that most tutorials and templates seem to focus heavily on Gmail. This got me wondering about the flexibility of the platform for different setups.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on a few points:

Provider Flexibility: While the Gmail node is very popular, how many of you are using other providers like Outlook, yahoomail. microsoft, hotmail, and some other?

2 The "Custom" Route: For those with private or custom business email domains, have you found any major limitations when connecting via SMTP compared to the official API-based nodes? or any other options you use ?

3 Security & Auth: How do you handle the trade-off between the ease of OAuth2 (Gmail/Outlook) versus the manual setup of App Passwords for other services?
