Looking for collaborators to push n8n further with custom-API workflows

Hi everyone,

I’m a developer who does not relies on automation platforms such as n8n. Although the visual builder is great for rapid prototyping, I often run into feature ceilings—especially when I need advanced logic, bespoke authentication flows, or high-performance data processing.

To get around that, I’ve begun building my own micro-services (REST/GraphQL) and then calling them from n8n. The approach works, but I’d love to connect with others who are doing—or want to do—something similar so we can:

Swap ideas and best practices for extending n8n with external services
Co-create open-source connectors or custom nodes that remove current limitations
Write guides or screencasts to help the wider community integrate custom APIs smoothly
Possibly launch joint projects where complex automation is needed
