hosting your n8n workflow

say, you built an n8n workflow and wanted to deploy into production. which VPS service would you use for hosting this workflow so it works 24/7 in production??

I’ve been testing LightNode recently. One thing I like is that they offer hourly billing, and from my basic testing the performance has been decent.

It got me wondering: why do so many people still choose the more well-known VPS providers like Hostinger when there are cheaper options available?

I’m assuming there are trade-offs that aren’t obvious from a few days of testing—things like long-term performance, support quality, uptime, network reliability, overselling, backups, hardware consistency, or other production-related limitations.

For those who have run production workloads on both budget VPS providers and bigger names, what differences have you noticed? What made you choose one over the other?
