Just deployed my first automation.
Every Monday at 08:00 (Europe/Berlin), it automatically finds 30 new businesses, 20 highly local around Rosenheim and the remaining 10 from the surrounding Bavaria area. It identifies companies that either don't have a website or have a poor one, filters out pharmacies, bakeries, and large chains, and sends me a well-organized email. The leads are grouped by industry (restaurants, trades, healthcare, retail, services, etc.) and include the company name, address and a labeled Google Maps link.
One thing that broke: my first version returned businesses with nothing but GPS coordinates, no Google Maps links, and very little useful information. On top of that, about half of the results were pharmacies, bakeries, or large chains that don't actually need a new website. Claude Code helped me clean up the pipeline, enrich every lead with useful details, and filter out businesses that weren't relevant.
What impressed me the most was watching Claude Code handle almost everything for me. From pushing the code to GitHub to deploying it. After learning how to build websites, I can definitely see this becoming one of my first business models.
