Cold Calling Receptionists – Is It a Good Idea or Not?

I’m diving into selling AI receptionists right now, and I’ve hit a little mental roadblock. I was thinking about reaching out via cold calls, but calling actual receptionists directly feels… weird.
On one hand, they’re the people who’d interact with the AI daily, so they’d get it. On the other, I don’t want to annoy anyone or come off as pushy.
Has anyone here sold tools to offices or admin teams before? Do you call the end-users directly, or go through decision-makers only?
Would love to hear your experience, especially if you’ve had to figure out the “who do I call first” problem.
