🚀 Big news from Anthropic. And it's directly relevant to how we work.
Anthropic just launched Claude Code Channels as a research preview, and the implications for developers (and anyone running AI-assisted workflows) are significant.
Here's what it means in plain terms:
You can now interact with a live Claude Code session directly from Telegram or Discord, from your phone, from anywhere. The feature uses the MCP plugin protocol to bridge your messaging app to a local Claude Code instance with full access to your filesystem, git repositories, and tools.
This isn't just a convenience feature. It's a strategic move. Anthropic had previously restricted third-party access to Claude models, a policy that directly targeted tools like OpenClaw, an open-source competitor that had built its value proposition around chat-based AI coding. With this release, Anthropic brings that capability in-house, on its own terms.
Why this matters: → Remote code sessions, managed from mobile → MCP as the bridge between conversation and computation → A clear signal that messaging-native AI workflows are becoming mainstream infrastructure
The lines between "chat app" and "development environment" are dissolving, fast.
Are you already running Claude Code in your stack? Curious how you're thinking about integrating this.
