Hi guys! Just finished Day 1 of the AIS Challenge! ๐
What I built: A newsletter machine that researches a topic, writes the copy, generates a branded header image, formats it into HTML, and sends it via Gmail. Basically I now have an intern who never sleeps, never complains, and only occasionally makes the logo too small (more on that below). Tested it with two brand identities: one on agentic AI, one on a Manila real estate story.
One thing I learned: This was my first time using Claude Code, and honestly the best part was just watching it work step by step.. research, then writing, then image gen, then HTML, then send. Felt like watching someone actually think through a build instead of just vomiting code at me. 10/10 would watch again.
One thing I'd improve: The copy is currently long enough to require a snack break halfway through โ gonna tighten that up. Also the logo shows up exactly once, at the top, at a size best described as "squint and you'll find it." Next version: bigger branding, more often, less "spot the logo" energy.
Looking forward to: Haven't cracked this yet, but I want to push the whole workflow to GitHub and hook it up to Trigger.dev so it just runs on a schedule without me babysitting it. If anyone's done this, send help. On to Day 2! ๐
