HOMEMADE LOTION RECIPE AS PROMISED 😁
Ingredients
  • 1 cup grass-fed beef tallow (melted)
  • 1/4 cup organic (fair trade always💗) cocoa butter
  • 1/4 cup jojoba oil
  • Optional: 10–20 drops of essential oils (e.g., lavender, vanilla, peppermint, rose, frankincense)
Equipment
  • Small pot or double boiler
  • Airtight glass jars for storage
  • Electric mixer
Instructions
  1. Melt the solid ingredients: Combine the beef tallow and cocoa butter in a small pot or double boiler over low heat. Gently warm until just melted to avoid overheating the ingredients.
  2. Add liquid oil: Once the tallow and cocoa butter are liquefied, remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the jojoba oil.
  3. Cool and solidify: Pour the mixture into a glass or metal container and allow it to cool and solidify in the refrigerator or freezer until it is no longer translucent but not completely hard (around 15-30 minutes).
  4. Once cooled to a soft, solid consistency, use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy.
  5. Add optional essential oils, you'll probably want to as the beef tallow smells kinda nas-tayyyy, 🤢. The cocao butter definitely makes the smell way yummier though!😍
  6. Transfer the finished lotion into airtight glass jars for storage.
The lotion can be stored at room temperature for 3-6 months. Refrigeration can extend the shelf life to over a year!!
