Some old souls are new to being old (Solstice Reflection)
I hadn’t planned to post but today asked for it.
This morning, I attended my first ritual with my teachers and community. We were guided into a cave—into the Crone’s space—to offer back what’s complete in us. The parts of the story that have finished their arc. The earth can have them now.
In the ritual I let the stories be complete. Tears came—not a sob or a weep, just a cleansing stream—and I stayed. I didn’t break communication with the Crone.
Afterward I wrote in my journal:
“Some old souls are new to being old.”
We closed by singing Long Time Sun. I remembered the instruction to imagine ourselves in a circle -- and I could feel it, even through the screen.
This space isn’t about me. It’s about learning how to meet collective moments without trying to own them.
Over the next 12 days, I’ll be burning reflections on the stories I have completed -- without choosing which ones, and without rereading them. On the 13th day, one will remain as a meditation for the year ahead.
If you feel called, offer one short prompt for reflecting on the wisdom that remains after a story is complete — so we can Acknowledge the completion, Unite it back to the earth, and Motivate ourselves to release.
Think “one sentence,” not a deep dive. Something you’d give a friend who’s done reliving it, but still wants to harvest what it taught. 🌚♻️

A practice room for yogic philosophy. For noticing what’s true, bringing it back into the circle, and allowing motivation to arise from connection
