WELCOME! Please Introduce Yourself Here!
Hey everyone, and welcome to the Achieve IELTS community! My name is Douglas Chernoff, and I'm so excited to have you here. I created this group for one specific reason: to help people just like you finally get over that 6.0 hurdle. I want you to get a 6.5, 7.0, or whatever your required score is. My entire goal is to give you simple, fast, and effective strategies to get the score you deserve. This is our official introduction thread! To get started and unlock the community, please hit 'comment' and tell us: 1. Who you are (e.g., where you're from, what you do) 2. Your Target Score (e.g., "I need a 7.0 for my nursing registration," or "I need a 6.5 for Express Entry.") 3. Your #1 IELTS Fear (What's the one thing that worries you the most? e.g., "I'm stuck at 6.0 in Writing," or "My mind goes blank in the Speaking test.") Don't be shy! Knowing your goals and fears helps me create the exact content you need. You'll also connect with other members who are on the exact same journey. I'll go first in the comments! šŸ‘‡

What to do first...
1. Read the Welcome Post and introduce yourself 2. Complete the Practice Test in the Classroom 3. To get the Answer Key for the Listening and Reading Test, make a new post: Tell everybody that you have finished the Practice test and Ask me an IELTS or English Question. I will then DM you the Answer Key. 4. Post publicly OR privately DM me your Writing Task 2 and I will provide you a simulated score and feedback. This is for free one time. If you wish for further scores/feedback, then you can upgrade. 5. Make posts and comment on other people's posts. This is YOUR community. This is your place to learn about IELTS and to talk with other people who are also preparing for IELTS.

HI!!
1. Who I am: My name is Sofia Ruiz Miranda, I am 17 years old and I am from Colombia, I am an International Business student and my goal is to take the IELTS in mid-2026. 2. My Target Score: I have some experience with IELTS but I haven't taken the exam yet. I want to take it mainly to certify my English level and because I plan to do international exchanges at my university. For this, I need a score of 7.0 or higher, and I'm currently at a B2 level, practicing and learning to reach C1. 3. My #1 IELTS Fear: My biggest fear or challenge in IELTS is speaking and writing, as I find it a bit difficult to find vocabulary when explaining my ideas. I can read a text or listen to anything, even speak with a native speaker and understand it perfectly; however, when it comes to organizing and explaining my ideas, I draw a blank. I also want to improve my pronunciation because I want to sound a bit more native or improve my pronunciation in general. I hope to meet people in this community and that we can help each other. Cheers!
