These are all the parts that make up a clock/watch.”
Case – the outer shell that protects the inner components.
Dial/Face – shows the time, usually with numbers or markers.
Hands – indicate the hours, minutes, and sometimes seconds.
Movement/Mechanism – the engine of the clock, can be mechanical or quartz.
Gears (Wheel Train) – transfer power from the movement to the hands.
Escapement – regulates the release of energy to keep accurate time (mainly in mechanical clocks).
Power Source – a battery for quartz clocks, or a spring/weight for mechanical ones.
Crown or Adjustment Knob – used to set the time.
