Today is International Women’s Day and we want to pause to honor and celebrate women. Not through the lens of culture, but through the lens of Scripture.
From the beginning, God has used women powerfully in His redemptive story.
We see Esther, who carried courage in a moment that shaped a nation (Esther 4:14).
We see Ruth, whose loyalty and quiet faithfulness placed her in the lineage of Christ (Ruth 1:16; Matthew 1:5).
We see Deborah, who led with wisdom and strength when leadership was needed (Judges 4:4–9).
We see Mary, who responded with surrender when entrusted with something far greater than herself (Luke 1:38).
And we see Priscilla, who helped teach and strengthen the early Church alongside her husband (Acts 18:26).
These women were different in personality, calling, and circumstance; but they shared one common thread: obedience to God.
To the women in our ITC family… your faith matters. Your prayers matter. Your obedience matters. The quiet ways you serve, lead, nurture, teach, and stand firm are seen by God.
Scripture reminds us that strength and dignity are not cultural slogans—they are the fruit of a life rooted in Him (Proverbs 31:25).
Today, we honor the women who have shaped Scripture and the women who are shaping lives right now.
If a woman in your life has strengthened your faith, encouraged you, or modeled Christ to you, take a moment to thank God for her in the comments.
