Encouragement! 🥳🥳
I was reading the parable of the sower recently when God highlighted something I had never really noticed before: the farmer still scattered the seed even though he knew a good portion of it would never take root. He threw it anyway.
That thought stayed with me. A farmer knows from the start that not every seed will grow, yet he still sows generously. He believes the harvest is worth his time, his effort, and even the loss of the seed that never makes it past his hand.
When we share Jesus—however that looks for each of us—we’re planting seeds too. But unlike the farmer, we often try to control where we think the “best” soil might be. We hesitate. We choose selectively. We worry about the outcome. Yet the sower in the parable didn’t do that. He trusted the process and scattered the seed freely.
Human nature tends to focus on what didn’t work out, on the seeds that fell on hard ground. But God calls us to shift our eyes to the harvest—to the lives that will be changed. Not everyone we speak to will receive the message, but that should never stop us from sharing the seed He placed in our hands.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s this: every soul brought into the kingdom is worth the work, the effort, and even the struggle it takes to get there. The harvest is worth it—every single time. Just keep your eyes on Jesus, stay obedient to him, and he will handle the things that look impossible!
