Our relationships are being shaped by who we choose to be in them.
Scripture is very direct about this:
“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.” (Proverbs 12:4)
That’s strong language. We are either bringing life into our relationships… or we are slowly wearing them down. This isn’t just about marriage. It applies to friendships, family, and every close connection.
We all have to ask ourselves honestly: Am I building people up? Or am I draining the strength out of them?
God didn’t call us to be the source of pressure, frustration, or discouragement in someone else’s life. He called us to bring life.
Today, consider this:
What am I contributing to the relationships around me?
If you’re reading along with us, this is from Chapter 5 of Relationship Goals in the classroom.
