Sometimes the difference between breakthrough and frustration isn’t whether we’ve asked… it’s whether we’ve received.
Scripture teaches us to ask in faith (Mark 11:24; Matthew 7:7–11). But there also comes a moment where we stop striving and begin receiving by faith what the Father has already provided (Matthew 6:8; Matthew 6:31–33).
God is not reluctant. He is not withholding. He is a good Father.
There are things we must ask for, but there are also things that have already been poured out. The Holy Spirit was given (Acts 2), and when people became aware of what was available, they received (Acts 19:1–6). The older son in Luke 15 thought he had been overlooked, but the Father’s response was simple: “Everything I have is yours.”
Sometimes we live in the house but forget what belongs to us.
Take a quiet moment and ask:
Father, is there anything You’ve already provided that I haven’t received by faith?
There is provision. There is healing. There is freedom. There is peace. And as we seek first His kingdom, He is faithful to add what we need.
