What Are You Building On?
I’ve watched women build beautiful things on shaky ground. I’ve done it myself. We’re taught to ask “what should I do next?” long before anyone teaches us to ask “what am I building on?” So we build on someone else’s definition of success. Someone else’s picture of a good wife, a good mother, a good leader. And it never holds. Growth and transformation don’t start with the next step. They start with the ground underneath it. A real foundation holds three things: → Your own story, not a borrowed one → Who you are, separate from what you produce → Who you’re here to serve New episode is up — link below. One question to sit with this week: what have you been building on?

New episode is up: The Question That Helps You Find Your Direction.
For years, I thought clarity meant having a plan — every step mapped out, the destination already named. And every time I tried to build a plan before I actually understood myself, it fell apart, because I was building on sand instead of foundation. What actually gave me direction wasn’t a plan. It was two questions I keep coming back to, before every decision, every season, every next step: Who are you? And who are you here to serve? These aren’t business questions. They work everywhere — in a career, in a home, in a community you lead, in a business you’re building. You don’t need a perfect five-year plan today. You just need these two questions, asked honestly, and the willingness to keep asking them as your answers grow and change. 🎬 Watch the full episode — link below. I’d love to know: when you sit with those two questions right now, what comes up for you? Even a partial answer counts. Share it in the comments if you feel led to — this is exactly the kind of thing we’re here to figure out together, not alone.

The Home That Taught Me Before I Had Words For It
Good morning Ladies 🤍✨ Home teaches us something before we ever have words for it — whether it was warm or whether it was hard. For me, home taught welcome. At least it’s one of the many lessons. My granny lived with us, and making people feel at home was simply how things worked in our house. For others, home taught something different — what to guard against, what not to repeat, what love wasn’t supposed to look like. That lesson counts just as much. Sometimes what shapes us most isn’t what we were given, but what we decided, even as children, we’d do differently one day. Wherever your home falls on that spectrum, it taught you something real. That’s part of the foundation this journey of growth and transformation actually starts from. What did your home teach you? You don’t have to answer that here — sometimes just naming it to yourself is enough for today. 🤍

Sticking Together — Why Walking Alone Was Never the Plan
I was reading my devotional this morning — a small pocket book by Carolyn Larsen, and this morning’s message really reminded me of who we are as a community. 😁 It’s on Romans 1:11-12 — it spoke about how we’re not meant to walk through life alone, and how encouraging one another, walking side by side, makes what we’re carrying lighter and stronger than trying to carry it by ourselves. I know not everyone in this community shares my faith, and I want to honor that. But reading it, I couldn’t stop thinking about who we are as A Woman In Progress, faith or no faith. Because underneath everything we’ve built here, that’s exactly the heart of it: we were never meant to live on islands. We were made to journey through life in community — celebrated, supported, and encouraged by each other, especially when the road gets hard. That’s what this space has always been for. Not a place to walk alone and figure it all out yourself, but a place to walk together. Whoever’s reading this today — however you got here, whatever season you’re in — I’m grateful you’re not walking it alone. 🤍
