After exchanging DMs with @Andrew Kirby and seeing the results of my friends @Shivam Jha @Benedek Santa @Tintin Smith @Corey Bennett Boardman I would like to propose an uploading challenge Here is the goal: - getting over the fear of uploading - Get 1% better with every video that you are doing - get into the flow of uploading the rules to participate are simple: - you are obligated to upload at least 1 video per week for the next 6 weeks ( not a short; longer than 120 seconds) - If you do not post for a week create a post telling what happened, try to define the problem, so we can help you - Post your content in the "Posting Accountability" category - Give genuine feedback to at least one person on someone's content (longer than 30 words) The benefits: - all the contents will be watched by the members of this community - feedback from the other member on how you can improve - Potential collaborations with the others - Anyone that will finish the challenge will get a shoutout on the @Andrew Kirby newsletter with hundreds of people on it Comment "Upload" if you want to join and give me feedback if you want to give ideas on how to improve the challenge, Add the "partner" if you are looking to pair up with someone or join the weekly group meetings the first deadline for the video is 11.04.2022. If you have missed it, just upload in the next week and start counting from 1 :D

how do you make these? i would love to learn visual!

This is an essay and my deep dive on iteration. I hope you find it valuable :) Human Worlds Frustration is an emotion, felt after our flow of energy or expectations gets blocked. If you’ve ever tried to accomplish something, you’ve felt it. But it actually drives a powerful force: anger, it lets us push through the blockage and get what we want. Humans have two worlds they experience. - The First World, is the one we are thrown into. The external world, that we get to know through experiences. - The Second World is one we create. The inner world, that gets created and shaped by interpretations. Accomplishing a goal is the try to manifestate our inner world into the real world. We have a will and we want to see it materialized. However, when our expectations and knowledge don’t match reality, we set impossible or very inefficent goals. The world has been shaped by this dilemma: the absolute truth is when we get to know the reality in its fullest extent. Very smart individuals have developed over centuries what we now know as the scientific method, a method of replicable truths that align with reality. A system that anyone can prove to be true. But it doesn’t come at an easy cost. ### The Price Of Knowledge Common sense wasn’t always common. Maybe our ancestors saw lots of tribe members fall off cliffs, and they decided to never follow them again (maybe they couldn’t anymore). We learn in two ways: - Off our own experience. When I wouldn’t listen that cliffs were dangerous, I found out the hard way: hitting the floor. - Off others experience. When you saw my body hit the floor, you decided to never jump off a cliff. Experience is a highly valued resource: it is the price of knowledge. To get it, you have to endure the pain and have the resources to pull through. In the modern era we pay top dollar to get to experienced people, so that we don’t have to fall off the cliff they fell to. But when we don’t have access to these people, or maybe no one has done what we are doing, we have an option.

In conversation with @Zolboot Zol @Benedek Santa and @Andrew Kirby, who expressed interest in hearing about my synthesis of this book, I finally completed it. I managed to turn 146 pages into only 14, squeezing the best information out of that beautiful book. Here is the link for it if you are interested in reading, I totally recommend: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1awQSgWQq-AZx9yBG4TpNAXrKcJz-gUgT/view?usp=sharing

Making a video takes time. Our time is limited. Therefore choosing which video to make first is important. YouTube polls help me with this.

im glad you care about your active members that are willing to watch you

This is a transcript of a Twitter thread, title inspired by Andrew's poll on what video to upload, but my curiosity lead me to some insights before I saw it You can follow me @joak_inme Don't seek money of fame. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 Seek MASTERY. Here are 7 steps to achieve MASTERY, be fulfilled and share your value with the world. 🧵A THREAD ON THE MEANING OF YOUR LIFE 1/ Socrates said "If you want to be unhappy, be idle. Diligence is the path to happiness" We are alive. As Nassim Taleb put it, organic systems are not meant to be still. When they are still, is because they are dead. ***Mastery Step 1: Do something with your life. Anything.** 2/ What you choose to do is going to make you miserable or contented. Socrates noticed there are two types of crafts: - The Ones That Free You: You get to serve the world and care for others. - The Ones That Enslave You: You only get to serve yourself. Free Crafts: Governing, farming, warfare. They make you happy because you get to meet people, be physically active. Enslaved Crafts: They confine you to be with yourself, with purely selfish goals. ***Mastery Step 2: Choose a craft that serves both you and others.*** 3/ Crafts fall under two categories: • Practical Crafts • Theorical or Creative Crafts @naval said "All specific knowledge is highly technical or creative" You need to know what you're doing to get better. ***Mastery Step 3: Choose Technical or Creative Work*** 4/ Practical Work means repetition. You don't need explanations, you need to put your reps in. Creative Work makes everything easier. But it is so hard to know what to work on that HARD WORK is the way to improve. ***Mastery Step 4: Put in the work, put in the hours*** 5/ Creative work feeds into your practice. Study and reflect on your processes, that's how you push practice crafts. Practice work feeds into your creativity. Experiences are the way practice feeds into creative work. ***Mastery Step 5: Balance creativity and practice*** 6/

what a good kid, also nice way to promote your twitter :)

So I am naturally an introvert, and years ago I had hard times being natural in front of a camera, the thing that helped me is: umm stick with me because this will be weird IMAGINARY VIDEOS! so I thought I'm a youtube obsessed weirdo for doing this unconsciously, (I still think that), but at least I realized that I am not alone! https://twitter.com/mws/status/1501684658920038400 when you have an interesting thought, try to make an imaginary video about it, just say things that pop into your mind, it will help you, also you can comment on the things that happen to you, in day to day life, maybe you are cooking something, and you are alone, that's could be an awesome time to practice you just have to talk about what you are doing, and over time your skills become much better, also you will improve faster then if you just practiced during recordings.

we suffer more in imagination than reality - seneca

"You cannot delete or destroy the habit at all, but what you can do is the change the routine." Ex: lets say you wanna start NoFap and you get a urge to fap and instead of fapping you can use that CUE to do other stuffs like meditate get outside hit pushup (make sure you leave the room where you find comfort and do activity that keeps your head busy my boy) make sure the reward is the same or similiar! Ex 2: stop smoking: problem: addicted to smoking habit: cue-need of nicotin; routine-smoking; reward- nicotine; solve: change the routine into anything you would like and it would look like this changed habit: cue-need of nicotin; routine- drink coffee; reward-dopamine Ex 3: stop eating chocolate problem: fat because of chocolate addiction habit: cue-stress; routine-open the fridge and eat chocolate; reward- dopamine solve:change routine as meditation to forget the urge changed habit:cue-stress; routine- meditate; reward-forget the urge and clear mind; and thats it my boys hope you liked it

@Andrew Kirby i look back now and realise that it was lame but i still have valueble idea : We buy things we dont need to impress people we dont like and the things you own end up owning you. also heres the file

One of the most important things about being an entrepreneur is developing the mindset for it. While we've heard of having the Entrepreneurial Mindset, there's another mindset that's much more broad and helpful not just in business, but for understanding the world and it's called the Scout Mindset. The idea comes from author Julia Galef, who wrote an entire book about the concept. If you want to get the main takeaways from the book, feel free to read the article below:http://www.15minutebusinessbooks.com/blog/2021/05/24/the-scout-mindset-by-julia-galef-here-are-my-five-lessons-and-takeaways/ There are plenty of podcasts and summaries on the book and this is just one of them. Check them out and if it interests you enough, buy the book yourself.

INTRO hey have you ever tried to make a youtube channel or imagine yourself becoming a youtuber, if yes you can be a full time youtuber just by using these 4 tips also a special tip and the end WHY? now before we get into the tips i want to talk why should make a youtube channel now the biggest reason is wealth, what does wealth mean? some peoples say its money some says its having a good job good relationship but what it really means is freedom, it mean of having free time when you can relax when you dont have to work 6 to 8 hours a day, you might think well im not able to achieve that, well im not blessed or any other excuse, no. keep it simple, theoretically anyone can achieve their goal they just need the right mindset. It's only you that is stopping you so fight yourself. and one of the biggest mistakes that peoples make is they consume lot of content how to make start a youtube content and this is not what you should do instead start and then learn. TIP now the first step is to make consistent videos now remember you dont have to start with quality content youre gonna get overwhelmed and it might not be professional but quantity will train you over time to get better at it. so the only thing you need to focus here is consistency. i recommend scheduling your time so you put dead line for yourself. another big tip is to be your authentic self be as you as possible dont be like a guy who impersonate others because theyre cooler its not gonna help you, be as open and yourself as possible, third tip is stop giving a damn about number and focus on getting viewer that are willing to watch you, now lets say you have choose choice and you get to choose one first we have viewer who are willing to watch you and enjoys your content OR 10 random viewer , viewer whos willing to watch you would have more click rate, watch time, more views than 10 viewer who is mostly dont care about you(btw you gotta understand that its like 5% chance to get consistent viewer so dont give up when youre not gaining such view and another reason why you should start with quantity rather than quality) so you gotta absorb this mindset to your brain. the last tip i wanna give is dont work for money or anyone, work for yourself think about your future not the negative stuffs think about what will happen when you dont do this not your excuses dont ever give up when your motivation is low the audience you should have is yourself. now before we get into the special tip lets get a quick summary first you should focus on making as much as video as you could and idea will come naturally second be yourself third is only care about active viewers not just some numbers and last but not least dont work for others work for yourself.

@Timur Serikbayev great idea! thats what i needed

Hey all, this is the simplest procrastination equation that you can apply to your lives immediately in any moment. It has worked for me and I bet it can help you in some way too, BUT you must be at a point in your life where you can be really honest with yourself. I believe this expands on Andrew’s “it's an emotional problem” but is not as complicated as the popular procrastination equation. PROGRESS = TRACTION - FRICTION - (NOT TRACTION) TRACTION is any trackable concrete action that undoubtedly progresses you towards your specific goal (e.g. writing a script, hitting record with any camera) FRICTION is anything in the way of taking action (e.g. phone distractions, computer games, emotional issues) If FRICTION > TRACTION, you won’t be able to start, so spend some time reducing FRICTION. Clean your table, hide your phone, do inner work on your emotional issues. The less FRICTION there is, the easier it is to TRACTION. But don’t fall into the trap of overspending your time on reducing FRICTION, because the PROGRESS only happens with TRACTION. Increase TRACTION by making the traction points as “baby steps” and as specific as possible, then START. Aim to spend 80% of your time on TRACTION and 20% on reducing FRICTION, not the other way round. Lastly, NOT TRACTION actions make you feel good when you do them WITHOUT directly progressing your goal statement. (e.g. researching about the best camera setup, watching more YouTube for inspiration) My mistake when I was healing myself from procrastination was not being aware of NOT TRACTION and also spending too much time on reducing FRICTION. My mindset was scarce and pessimistic and I felt like I had to remove every single distraction or heal every last trauma before I could start. What I didn’t know was that sometimes, taking even the smallest TRACTION heals as well or even more than therapy (I understand there are exceptions). Labelling NOT TRACTION actions helped me to achieve greater awareness and hence avoidance of those things.

Since someone has posted their own guide on stopping procrastination, it's time to add another article to the list, this time by Sahil Bloom. BTW, check out Sahil's content, he written some great stuff.https://sahilbloom.substack.com/p/how-to-stop-procrastinating?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo4NjI3OTIxLCJwb3N0X2lkIjo1MDMwMzY5NCwiXyI6IkM1U1BjIiwiaWF0IjoxNjQ5MjU5ODM3LCJleHAiOjE2NDkyNjM0MzcsImlzcyI6InB1Yi02NjI0NCIsInN1YiI6InBvc3QtcmVhY3Rpb24ifQ.1IxqmOAW0XSNJHCJO85ctq-VT2nS929wONQFHc8H32A&s=r
