Introducing Myself - Ziad Hafda
Assalamu alaykum everyone 👋 I'll go first. My name is Ziad Hafda. I'm the founder of The Muslim Mind Academy and I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I've spent over 22 years seeking Islamic knowledge, teaching students, mentoring, leading community programs and asking one question that wouldn't leave me: Why do so many Muslims know the Kalimah but so few are actually living from it based on its true intended purpose sent by Allah... That question became this community. I'm a Vice-President and Chair of Education at the Australian Islamic House in Sydney. I'm also writing a book — The Muslim Mind: Reviving the Ummah through the Kalimah — which is the foundation of everything we teach here. I built this community for Muslims who are done drifting and ready to think, lead and live with Divine direction. Your turn 👇 Tell us who you are, where you're from, and answer this one question honestly: What is the biggest gap you feel between your Islam and your daily life right now? No judgment. This is your space. May Allah bless your path Ziad

@Haajar Aroos Wa Salam, it is a pleasure to have you join the family of change makers and those who want to build awareness of our purpose. Allah has given us a great common goal and purpose for this life as an ummah and individuals. Your role as a Muslimah is off great significance. The Muslimah will build and nurture the next generation of Muslim Leaders. May Allah increase you in knowledge and understanding to achieve your goals, ameen. Have you got a weekly habit of learning or reading about the life of the messenger(saw) currently? This will help you embody the Quran message

@Haajar Aroos Al hamduliallah that’s great. I’m sure you might have made attempts in the past to listen and learn the seerah, this time do me a small favour once you read it, listen and learn where a different hat (mindset 101) - I am listening to a system of life that can lead humanity not just how can become a better person spiritually” please let me know if this is clear ? This is a different framing and it has much more parts to it but let’s start here inshallah
Hot take - Most Muslims confuse change with Improvement
Here is a statement I want you to wrestle with: "A Muslim who becomes more productive, more successful and more disciplined but without knowing Allah more deeply has not changed. They have just improved." Change, in the framework, is transformation at the level of values and beliefs not just habits and routines. The Quran does not say Allah will change your productivity. He says He will change your condition and that starts within. Do you agree? Or do you think improvement IS change? Let's hear it. "Agree or disagree — and why? No wrong answers here. Push back if you see it differently. This is exactly the kind of thinking this community was built for."

@Khalid Hussein Ameen, what a blessing to be able to map the journey and have clarity as you go through life. The main focus which is clear for you is always mapping back the event or situation back to the lens of the Quran. The Quran has a lens and a worldview which is the medicine for both the mind and hearts of the believers

@Saliha Ameer very nice and raw share, much appreciated and highly valued. The honest and raw approach is the most powerful process which is clear in your writing about your journey. Embracing oneself is a key element of change and handling any transformation. "Look at the situation for what it is not worse"!! which you applied. The Quran is the remedy to all situations and correcting our mindsets, both as individuals and an ummah. Framing and defining words is such a huge topic and a vital one as you touched on in your experience. Have you tried to read the Quran and ask what does this actually mean? and read the Quran and asked why was the Quran revealed? if your free share your thoughts as this will help build out your higher goals inshallah
What does your New State of Mind actually look like?
The framework ends with three powerful words: "Now you're ready to go." Ready to go — where? To what? For what purpose? The New State of Mind is not just feeling better about yourself. It is having a completely new set of values, beliefs, views and positions, all anchored in knowing Allah. It means your thinking changes. Your decisions change. The way you see your role in this Ummah changes. This is the part most development courses skip. They make you feel good but leave you with no direction. The Muslim Mind is different, the new state is not the destination. It is the launchpad. "Paint me a picture — if your New State of Mind was fully realised, what would your life look like in 3 years? Not your career. Your MIND. Your character. Your role in this Ummah. Write it out."

@Saliha Ameer very nice insights and the verse you started off with is so profound. All your thoughts clearly stem from it. This is a blessed starting point to think and operate from. The heart is the center point of a believer and your awareness to mention the heart shows grounded concepts of Islam. Do you have a certain process currently that yo do in regards to reflect on humbling oneself? Im interesting to see your thoughts on "everyone benefits"? if your free to elaborate on this would be great, as the ideas of Islam were designed to achieve such an outcome.
Why most Muslims get stuck and never actually change
Look at the framework again. Notice there are THREE states, not two. Most people think change works like this: you learn something new → you change. But that is not how the Muslim Mind operates. There is an Interim State that most people skip and skipping it is why so many of us feel stuck between who we are and who we want to be. The Interim State is the bridge. It is the phase where you are consistently dipping into new knowledge. Quran, Sunnah, reflection, community before real transformation can take root. You cannot rush this phase. You have to live in it intentionally. This community, these sessions, this knowledge — this IS your Interim State. Use it. "Have you ever felt stuck between who you are and who you know you should be as a Muslim? What kept you in that gap? Share your experience — your story might unlock someone else."

@Haajar Aroos great reflection, thank you for sharing and helping all of us to grow from this. Yes, we can all grow due to your reflections, I’m sure we are all going through a similar process or pattern. Change is definitely a process and the start you have done very well, which is to have awareness. Think about this in some detail when your free “who am I now or today” ? “How did I arrive at who I am now”? Do this process slowly and as you mentioned change is scary for all of us but re frame the change to “can’t wait to grow, excel and learn from this experience” “ I am looking forward to exploring this new phase of my life” let me know your thoughts and if this is clear inshallah. May Allah increase you in knowledge and understanding

The 3-minute audit: Journal Entry #1
This is your first journal entry. Answer these three questions right now. Write it in the comments or screenshot it for yourself. 1. What are my top 3 values that guide my daily decisions? 2. Where did those values come from? 3. If I am honest with myself, do they align with what Allah expects of me? There is no right or wrong answer here. This is about where you ARE, not where you think you should be. The journey starts with honesty. "Drop at least ONE of your answers in the comments. Even if it is uncomfortable, especially if it is uncomfortable. This community grows when we are real with each other."

@Omar Lebdeh I would like you to reflect on this process. This isn’t a one off exercise or an emotional process, what we are looking at is a continuous learning cycle and building concepts that steer you through life inshallah. Is this clear so far ? Your feedback is very much appreciated
