Pitching website to cafe!
Today, I went to a business in person to try and pitch a demo website to them that's not completely done. I could only talk with a barista and he was very helpful and open to hear what I was offering. He gave me their cafe admin email, but I thought it was easier to write down the link to the website I deployed on Vercel, my number and name and pass it down to see if the boss was interested. Was I wrong to leave the link to it and what should I've done better? I should've asked if they're interested in having a website redesign and explained exactly what my agency does as I didn't really mention AI.

@Jannes Lecompte Very nice feedback thanks. I'll make sure to take action on it!

@Victor Gagne Knudsen As they're first my first client I'm thinking $500 one time payment and a monthly maintenance fee
Cold Email Enquiry
Quick question, do I use my personal email to send outreach campaigns to pitch AI solutions? Or is it a lot better to have an email with a business domain name?
My Favorite Use Case for AI
I've journaled since 2015. Flipping back through old entries, the same destructive thought loops show up year after year. What I always wanted was a Jiminy Cricket or Navi from Zelda sitting on my shoulder. Books, movies, and music help, but they feel static. You hit a problem, dig through a shelf, hope a quote lines up. So I built something a bit more fluid. Every day I journal, and the entry gets weighed against a library of precepts I've embedded. A few seconds later it hands back the one that fits. The current MVP contains just Marcus Aurelius' Meditations. Nine times out of ten it lands. The real value is the timing. I can catch a spiraling thought early in the morning and if I'm disciplined again before I fall asleep. Old-school practice. New-school feedback loop. (Example entry + precept output below.) JOURNAL ENTRY 5/19 Defnitely not pasting that for you to see. 😜 EVENING PRECEPT - Meditations 6.IX "Whensoever by some present hard occurrences thou art constrained to be in some sort troubled and vexed, return unto thyself as soon as may be, and be not out of tune longer than thou must needs. For so shalt thou be the better able to keep thy part another time, and to maintain the harmony, if thou dost use thyself to this continually; once out, presently to have recourse unto it, and to begin again." AI TRANSLATION OF PRECEPT (just in case the gibberish up top doesn't make any sense) When hard stuff knocks you out of tune, get back to yourself fast. Don't stay out of tune longer than you have to. The more you practice that β€” wobble, return, begin again β€” the steadier you'll be next time. Once out, recourse, begin again.

Journaling is a great habit! Well done
7-Day Challenge - Day 2: Using an MCP Server
Today I completed the second workflow under the challenge. As with day one, it wasn't that difficult. The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was working out the kinks of setting up the Firecrawl MCP server and deconflicting where and what files the server was pointed to. I'm running Claude Code through VS Code which was causing a conflict between the folder I created for projects on my computer and the folder that was created by Claude Desktop. I ultimately worked things out and was able to get through the tutorial. I really like the use cases and now that I got things up and running I can do away with Scrapebox.

Hardest part is just starting. Great work man! πŸ‘
Agents built
Started as a no-code beginner. I have built a weather agent, web search summarizer agent, email drafting agent, and doc q&a agent in claude code. Moved over the n8n to get workflow visibility and deeper understanding. Built another email agent, meeting notes summarizer agent, content enrichment agent, content repurposing agent, email support triage agent, and lead research agent. The most recent agent has been a SQL database chat agent via LangGraph and Claude Code. Planning to grow my AI knowledge with more experience. What have you built once shifting from beginner to intermediate?
