Did you know this fun historical fact about peotry?
I love history, so I search out things like this. This information is copied from Google search: The longest poem in the world is the ancient Indian epic, the Mahabharata. Containing roughly 1.8 million words and 200,000 verses, it is about ten times longer than the Iliad and the Odyssey combined. It was written over centuries and remains a monumental feat of storytelling. Chime in if you already knew. I didn't.

Give it a go....
Define the word ' wait' in 1 line No right or wrong. This will open new ways of thinking and direction when writing. My example below. Wait Synchronization of our time, our life events and our universe @Melissa Poetrylpls ©️

The word wait is more complex than you would think becasue it often describes a quiet time of pysical inactivity but sometimes it is a time containing a sizzling excitement of anticipation for what is to come, so that it remains in a constant state of flux.
Prompt of the day
Use ABAB form to create a short poem. So lines A both rhyme and lines B both rhyme No guide lines, make sense, don't make sense just play with words...

The Power of the Pen
A hammer can build, A hammer can break, But a pen decides What history will make. It has ended wars Without drawing a blade, Lifted the broken, Built dreams from the frayed. It signs the birth Of a nation's law, Then sketches the wonder A child first saw. It writes, "I love you," Or whispers goodbye. It teaches us how, And asks us all why. It captures the voices The world tried to drown, Raises the forgotten, And tears kingdoms down. A sword may win A single day's fight, But the power of the pen Can rewrite the night. Ink has no muscles, No armor, no shield, Yet empires have fallen Because it refused to yield. So hold it with purpose. Write fearless. Write true. The next life it changes... May begin with you.
