I turned my frustration into creation
I was trying to learn House of the rising Sun. I got frustrated because I couldn’t get the rhythm down so I just took the l chord progression and did my own thing with it and Made it a different song it’s sloppy, but I recorded the second time I ever played it so it’s not done But I’m a perfectionist so it never will be but I like it what do y'all think.

Need Help with Barre Chords?
Often, the struggle with Barre chords is the approach you are taking with your arm and wrist...

My sorry attempt at Steve via’s for the love of God
It doesn’t sound very good, but I was just impressed I played any of it 😂

String Preferences
Does anyone have a preference on strings? I've used Earnie Ball Super Slinky and D'Addario Xts.

My new favorite strings for the electric guitar are the Ernie Ball Slinky Flatwound i like the 9 or 10 gauge but I’m about to try the 11 gauge just to see how they feel and for my acoustic I like the Martin Eric Clapton custom choice or the Martin retro 11 or 12 gauge I’ve only used Martin strings for my acoustic guitars because in my humble opinion they are the best
Nut replacement
How do I replace the nut on my Gibson S.G. Is this a simple fix I can do myself or should I take it to a guitar luthier.

@Todd Diers cool thanks if it doesn’t cost that much I’ll just take it to a guitar shop and have it done right so I don’t mess anything up I’m just using a fret wrap on it right now but it still sounds horrible it needs a lot of work probably more than just the nut being replaced my friend gave it to me. It was just sitting in his garage collecting dust horrible way for a guitar like that to be treated. but it has a home now and I’ll give it the love it deserves.
