Today Marks the first day I was able to incorporate running in small amounts into my walks with nova in three years and after multiple knee surgeries! Wooo! I can not wait to get healthy again!
it’s been a few days, i’m back! i’ve been fighting some inner demons but im pushing through. i’ve been self isolating and haven’t been on social media. it’ll get better, right?
Does anyone have that one person, friend or family, who knows when you get quiet it means you are in your head? I have one friend who's been in my life since high school (2001 grad here, so yeah I'm old, lol) that checks if she doesn't hear from me in 36 hours. We were talking about it one day and she said that she does this when I get quiet because she knows what I've gone through and what I struggle with. Recently I was pretty quiet and she messaged me saying if I didn't answer her within 5 minutes she was gonna show up at my house and knock on my window. LOL
Heavenly Father, thank you for the endless love and protection you have showered us with today. We are grateful to have you in our corner even when we stray from you. You are always there to keep us safe under your guidance and love. We are grateful for everyone in this community and thank you for bringing them to this group. I ask you to offer a little extra love to those of us who are struggling to get through the day. Please continue to watch over us and fill our lives with love and kindness as we sleep tonight. Last night I got to burn something that I’ve been carrying around in my mind and soul for 22 years… it was so relieving and I feel as if so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders. On this paper I wrote everything that I wanted to give to God. All of the shame, guilt, anger, and control that I’ve tried to have on my own life. If you are struggling with something, write it down, speak it out loud and then burn it. Send it to God and let Him take the wheel! I believe in all of us, and I cannot thank this group enough for surrounding me with love even when only one really knew what I was doing last night. Reading posts here, and watching the Snapchat last night made me feel less alone and I’ll forever be grateful for you all ❤️

Hey y’all! So a couple of people have commented that they want to start their faith journey, and they’re just not sure where or how to start. I am by no means good at this, but during church today, there was a clear message. Just start and believe whole heartedly in the Lord that he is your savior and that His plan do you is greater than your own. Sometimes (for me, all of the time) I try to lean on wha I see in front of me, forgetting that I don’t know the details like I think I do. God is asking you to trust in Him, go where he needs you, and as scary as it is, we have to trust that. Here are a couple of verses you can start out with to get comfortable trusting in Him and his direction: Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Proverbs 3:5- Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Psalms 28:7- The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Isaiah 26:3- Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Romans 8:28- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
