Fairly new to the game myself. I started last year then took a long break and decided to come back to it this past month. I’ve gained a good amount of knowledge since then from just research and the algotrading subreddit. My current project is focused on a cross sectional mean reversion strategy that estimates weights for stocks diverting from the mean of a basket of stocks. That decides whether I will short or long the stock with the weight indicates the strength of that position. It’s still in its infancy. Currently writing the strategy in Python and need to build on a lot of the trading infrastructure I have from last year. Using alpaca for the trading API since they make it really easy to set everything up. Will update my progress in this group as I go along!

@Teun S Yea I would love to collab on something! That guy’s polymarket account is very impressive. Looks like he mainly takes positions regarding bitcoin or etherium on being up or down. I’ll have to look into it a bit more but that seems like something that is easily automated and could likely have an edge if the market lags the actual price. This could definitely be a good starting point. I’ll have to see if this is available to trade in the US now too. I know that polymarket has recently been coming back to the US market.

Thursday work for me! Makes sense to avoid the weekends. Maybe an intro call like the week after the holidays are over?
