Starting your own Pocket Coaching
So @Mike Gowans I saw the replay of your videos today and it got me thinking of what type of videos go into your pocket coaching? For example I have a YouTube channel where I create a lot of beginner “how to” videos on learning how to program. So what would be the difference between those and the pocket coaching videos? Would it just be early access? A different type of video? The programming niche, I have been finding that yea there are places such as Udemy and coursera and others where people will pay for a course but getting monthly recurring revenue (mrr) is kind of hard unless you have a lot of courses and your subscription is to access all courses rather than pay for each individual one. That and programmers like to find stuff for free and have the mentality that a lot of stuff should be open source. That being said I think the idea of a pocket coaching is a way to capture this mrr, but what would be the difference between that and I normally push out on my YouTube channel?

@Mike Gowans I guess I was/am worried about reposting stuff already on my YouTube channel or wanting to post something there that is in the pocket coaching and not wanting people to feel cheated that they could have gotten it for free. That make sense?
Skool help
@Mike Gowans OK, I think I’m getting stuck or might be over complicating it but my niche or the thing that I enjoy talking about the most is computer programming. I have a YouTube channel called Case Digital where I teach people how to program with an emphasis in the python programming language. However, that is very much helping people solve their problems and I focus on a lot of beginner stuff. I’ve been thinking about creating this school community to help people solve their problems but then trying to figure out how I would monetize this because what I put on YouTube is answers to peoples questions like “how to remove a character from a string in python?” Would it be best to create a free community that continues to do what I’m doing but then have paid links to do one on one calls and then eventually create a paid community where we combine the knowledge from the beginner stuff to build projects that I or the community come up with? I asked this question before about what’s the difference between the free and paid communities and Mike gave a great response that I believe was something like the free is more like the what you do and the paid is more of how. So would it be safe to say that maybe in the programming that the free would be more of the simplistic “how do you do small things” and the paid would be more of how you do like a project? I guess I’m just not sure about creating a paid community that has a lot of the simplistic how to questions when it already putting them on YouTube for free if that makes sense. Any and all thoughts would be appreciated!

@Mike Gowans this is great thank you. So from the comments above it almost sounds like I should go to a paid community and keep my “free” on as my YouTube channel or at least start free to build up the people I can get the testimonials from and then convert to paid. I definitely agree that paid would allow people to network and better direct access to me and the other skilled people that would be in the group.
Community Content Vs Pocket Coaching Content?
I have recently joined after watching some of @Mike Gowans stuff on youtube and it got me thinking. How does one determine what content would go in the community/youtube (free) vs pocket coaching (paid)? Probably overthinking it but just thought I'd ask everyones opinion.
