Where it all began - Part 1
Friends, as promised in a previous post, I want to take you back to where this whole Skool group thing started… It was 2020. I had just wrapped up three years of trying to build my own thing as an independent insurance sales rep. (You know the pitch: "Selling life insurance is easy!" 😄) It didn’t quite work out the way I planned, and I had made the decision to go back to a work-from-home W-2 job. Now here's the thing about me - I'm generally a pretty optimistic person. I bounce. But I'd be less than honest if I said I wasn't quietly carrying some disappointment about how that chapter had ended. I had really believed I could make it work. What kept me grounded during that season? My Thursday night ladies group with my fellow Tulsa Church On The Move members. Every week, a beautiful group of women gathered in my dining room to study the Real Jesus curriculum together, and that consistent time in the Word was exactly what I needed. I was the one leading the group, but honestly? God was using that group to minister right back to me. One particular Thursday, I had an idea. My pastor at Faith Church in St. Louis - Pastor Nicole Crank, - was hosting her Fall Women's Conference that same evening. The theme was goal setting. I asked my ladies: "Would y'all be up for watching this together tonight and making it our discussion?" They were all in. 🙌🏼 None of us had any idea what was about to happen. (To be continued…) 👀
