I turn 63 in Jan. In order to recieve the rate at that age should I apply then to avoid being pidgeon holed into the lesser amount?

Some clarity. I hear 62 is a fine age to retire. I've earned that right? So if I file for SSI now. Will I see the funds from the reduction after I'm 67? I heard this and it perked up my ears because I plan on working part time and gig jobs just not alot. Adter I'm 67 I can make as much as I want and still collect full benefits I think. To relax but not stagnate is the ultimate goal. Roam without fear of criminals stealing my stuff. To work on my terms. To save and start a new chapter in an other place. To free anyone who wants to be as well.
