Happy Tuesday everyone. If your credit is just starting out instead of applying for a Capital One secured card. Try your luck with the Discover IT card. You may be surprised to be approved for a unsecured credit limit from $500-$2000. So what you would do is apply for the discover IT card and if you get approved great. However, if you get denied, then you would have to move onto the Capital One card. discover is just better than Capital One when starting out to build your credit 🙂

So apparently if you go to CreditStrong.com, buy the Magnum product, then cancel it, it still shows up on your credit report — basically giving you a $2K–$30K tradeline for free. Three people told me they did it and saw their scores jump 30–120 points, and the increase stuck. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but thought I’d share what I’ve been hearing.
