Two owners want two different outreach plans. How do I thread this?
Need help threading a needle with a client. Two owners, two different outreach plans, and neither one is clean on consent. I run a small AI automation shop. Just landed a solid client in the home repair space. They help homeowners after a major damage event, and the whole business runs on speed. There's a short window to reach people right after something happens, and whoever gets to the homeowner first usually wins the job. Time is everything in this niche. Here's where I'm stuck. There are two owners and they want to go two different directions. The first guy, call him Dan, is the operator. Younger, bought into the company in his early twenties, runs the day to day, super relationship driven. Dan wants me to build a system that blasts text messages out to a list of homeowners in the affected area. No opt in, no prior relationship, just hit the list fast. When I brought up the consent problem he basically said he's willing to eat the fines and wants to move forward anyway. His logic is that the whole industry is doing it and nobody seems to be getting hit, so why slow down. The second guy, call him Victor, is the money and the real power. Bought into the company recently, runs a whole portfolio of other businesses, master negotiator type. Victor doesn't want texts. He wants an AI voice receptionist and outbound calls. More of a robocall and live-routing approach. So I've got the operator pushing non-consented text blasts and the owner pushing voice and calls, and honestly neither path has a real consent foundation underneath it yet. They just have a list of people in an area who got hit. My questions for anyone who's actually built outreach at scale. How are you all handling the consent piece in a time-sensitive niche like this, where you can't realistically get opt in before you reach out? Is there a legitimate way to move fast and stay protected, or is everyone just accepting the risk? When a client tells you flat out they're willing to take the legal hit, how do you protect yourself as the builder so the exposure stays with them and not with you? Contract language, documentation, who owns the sending number, anything you've learned the hard way.

@Ryan Smith Honestly, I’d try to give them the best of both worlds and build a layered outreach strategy instead of looking at calls vs texts as either/or. Combining voice + SMS follow-up will almost always outperform relying on a single channel. That said, I’d also make sure expectations are realistic upfront. Outreach at scale is a volume game no matter how good the messaging is. Even with strong copy, good targeting, and solid timing, you are still going to get NOs, opt-outs, angry replies, and people telling you to screw off. That’s part of outbound not necessarily a sign the campaign is failing. A lot of people think better messaging eliminates rejection, but really good outbound just improves your percentages slightly over large volume. A 1–2% positive response rate can still be a winning campaign depending on LTV and margins. On the text side, I personally use GHL with A2P verification because at minimum you want the infrastructure set up correctly if they decide to move forward with SMS. I’d also strongly recommend having very clear documentation and agreements in place stating the client is responsible for list sourcing, consent compliance, and campaign approval. Make sure they own the numbers/accounts wherever possible too.
(Completed) GHL AI Agent MCP + Composio + Instantly Connection Issue — Need Help
Hey everyone, I am trying to connect GHL to Instantly through Composio via MCP so my GHL AI Agent can monitor lead engagement from my Instantly cold email campaigns. The goal is to have the AI Agent automatically detect signals like when a lead opens an email 3 or more times or replies and then take action inside GHL accordingly. Here is my issue: When I connect the Composio MCP server inside the GHL AI Agent Studio only the Composio tools show up. The Instantly tools and connections are not appearing even though Instantly is fully connected inside Composio. What I have already tried: Confirmed Instantly is connected and enabled inside Composio with status showing Active. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Instantly connection inside Composio multiple times. The Composio MCP URL I am using is: https://connect.composio.dev/mcp Has anyone successfully connected Instantly through Composio MCP to the GHL AI Agent and gotten the Instantly tools to show up? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

2 definitely! I read a book that went into the negatives of confirmation biased and when I finished I realized how I could be a victim to that with Ai.
