Scent explore recap
Wow, scentxplore 2025 was a huge hit, venue was completely huge, more vendors came through as well as reviewers on social media. Met a lot of people as well going to the panels for xerjoff and memo paris and hearing the perfumers story on how they started. Getting samples and samples. Almost 4 full bags, buying my first city rhythm fragrance, Puerto Rico, and getting signed by perfumer Niles D Ramadhin himself. As well as a discovery set from amouroud parfums, getting pictures with lorenzo pazzaglia and trying his 3 new unreleased products, that's not in their collection yet, but I can tell you its gin and Tonic vibes, cherry, fruit vibe and a dark coffee vibe. What an amazing turn out. Pictures will be uploaded soon.
Hey everyone, I'm back again
Hey guys and gals. Xavier here, I'm still alive and well, been on a cleansing journey (not from fragrances) but on my overall health, shed of around 40lbs or so. Told myself this has to change for me, because I want to be with my family longer you know, but yes still collecting frags and let me tell you don't sleep on french avenue Vulcan black friday such a black tie, make a first impression scent where you will get heads turned, also rayhaan valhalla more manly scent of angel share paradis that's not overly sweet except from the raspberry but mixed with the cognac is amazing, rayhaan terra think of amouage outlands but its the dry down which is the best part, I got so many compliments, especially from the ladies, they loved that warm ambery vanilla scent that's really rich and dark in a way, (the very lovely sgt said a few nice words that made a man like me bashful lol). Picked up also valentino green stravaganza, one of the best fresh spicy scent profiles, thst you can def wear daily, lunch date, casual, business, office wherever, does not disappoint. And lastly picked up afnan supremacy collector edition, okay I'm late this I'll admit, but this is not a 1 to 1 to aventus absolute but it gets the job done, the pineapple is more prominent then the OG, but OG is still the king but this is second in command in my opinion not to harsh such a people pleaser scent. Also who is going to the NYC scentxplore. Am I gonna see some of my fellow friends over there please let me know. Anyway I gotta get on my flight back to nyc from Miami, take care my fellow smelly water enthusiasts, smell great. Also my SOTD is afnan mega of the best ysl y edp dupes, that apple scent that we all love from the original is more open and such a compliment puller saying it's clean. Fresh, almost like a linen freshness aroma.

City Rhythm Red Line 2654
City Rhythm Red Line 2654 is a fragrance that brings together two of the brand’s most popular releases—Miami and San Diego—into one seamless blend that’s both tropical and coastal. It opens with a vibrant mix of coconut, blood orange, lime, and a dash of sea salt, giving off an instant beachy vibe that feels fresh and sunny. The heart transitions into something a little richer and sweeter, with almond, sugar cane, nutmeg, osmanthus and Moroccan jasmine creating a slightly gourmand twist. By the dry-down, the base of rum, ambergris, tonka bean, and vanilla takes over, adding warmth and depth. Overall, the scent is playful, modern, and perfect for warmer weather, but with enough complexity to stand out in a crowd. This was a compliment puller, where people stated that i smell sweet and rich, a playful and youthful scent. In terms of longevity, Red Line 2654 does a decent job. On most people, it lasts around 8 to 10 hours, i was able to get at least 7. If i applied lotion i believe it wouldve been linger, which is still a solid performance for a summer-leaning fragrance. Some users report it fading faster, especially on dry skin or with newer batches, sometimes dipping to around 5 hours of wear hence what i went through but there are even a few mentions in the fragrance community about the need to let newer bottles macerate or settle for a few weeks to reach their full potential. Still, when the fragrance performs at its best, it sticks around well through the day without needing reapplication. The projection and sillage of 2654 are notable during the opening. It pushes out strongly for the first hour or two, easily filling a small room or leaving a noticeable trail when walking past someone. After that, it settles into a more moderate scent bubble, lingering within arm’s length for several hours. Depending on the weather—especially heat and humidity—it can behave a little differently. In hotter conditions, the tropical top notes bloom more aggressively, while in cooler environments, the scent seems to stay closer to the skin. Overall, the performance is respectable, though it’s not a powerhouse from start to finish.

Hey everyone again my apologies for a big delay. Crazy situations in nyc from what the news showed across the country, but I'm okay safe and sound and ready to give my review. So I spray all 3 jean lowe azure, lv afternoon swim, and roll it 7 by jo milano Longevity: jean lowe azure took the lead from the 3. The 2 sprays applied on the test strip from all three were all strong but within the 4 hour mark, afternoon swim was starting to faint and roll it 7 was getting there but still a tad bit stronger, while for azure, it still had the fresh citrus scent opening. So a W for Azure and last about 5 plus hours and had a nice dry down. Projection: So different days, wore each one and tried do on warm days in full police gear. Each one had good in the same range within 1-2 feet in the opening notes and was hard to put which one take the lead. Which I believe it comes to a tie for all 3. Sillage: So all 3 in my opinion have a problem with this. Azure while it has good longevity and okay projection, sillage is less moderate where it's not noticeable yet different review saying is overall watery and fades immediately which haven't dealt yet but when moving around some don't smell it. Roll it 7 is in the same but has a slight improve moderate sillage then azure. Probably due to quality of oils. And afternoon swim while being a great freshie in the lv line, it falls right under jo milano. Not a really a beast performer but when spray in clothes, it does keep that scent smelling great. I'm gonna have to go with Jo milano Note breakdown: For Jo Milano Roll It 7 have bergamot, mandarin, and Sicilian orange. The heart is a fresh aquatic accord, and the base note is musk. Azure has mandarin orange and bergamot in the top notes, orange in the heart and ginger and ambergris in the base. Louis Vuitton's Afternoon Swim has the notes of bergamot, mandarin orange, and Sicilian orange, with a heart of ginger and a base of ambergris. As you can see the notes are similar between afternoon swim and azure while roll it 7 has some minor difference between the other 2 but I believe thr musk played a great roll on possibly being more noticeable worthwhile then the other 2. While azure had the same notes, the orange in the middle note is more of light tart or light bitter orange rather the bright and zesty Sicilian orange in afternoon swim. While azure is close to afternoon swim, have to give it the OG.
