Rethinking CPA: Build Smarter, Aim Higher, and Break the Mold
Getting a handle on your CPA isn’t just a numbers game, it’s understanding what makes sense for your offer and what keeps your business running strong. Every product or service has its own “healthy CPA range,” and once you know that range, everything else becomes clearer. You stop chasing random benchmarks and start aiming for what actually moves your business forward. Your CPA goes up or down based on a lot of small decisions: how strong your creative is, how clear your offer feels, how smoothly your funnel flows, and how well your message matches the audience you’re speaking to. When something is off, your CPA inflates. When things align, it drops. It’s really just the natural outcome of how well your system is built. The path to hitting your ideal CPA consistently isn’t about perfection... it’s about steady, intentional improvement. You look at your numbers, make one clean adjustment at a time, and let the small wins stack. Over time, those tiny optimizations add up to big changes. And here’s the part I really want to highlight. Breaking the mold isn’t only about being willing to pay more to reach potential customers. Sometimes it's taking a calculated risk because you know your backend can carry it. But other times, it’s about innovating smarter ways to lower your CPA entirely. Maybe that’s creating new offers that warm people up before the sale, building simple products that pull cold traffic into your world, or using content and newsletters to turn strangers into buyers you can serve across multiple touchpoints. There’s always a new angle, a new idea, a new strategy that the competition hasn’t thought of yet or executed well enough for it to function. Industry averages exist, but they don’t define what’s possible for you. They’re just the baseline most people settle for. If you’re willing to think a little differently, test a little more intentionally, and push yourself one step further than the crowd, you’ll naturally rise above those limits. We don’t aim to “fit in” here, we aim to grow, innovate, and outperform yesterday. One smart improvement at a time.

@Etni Alvis What a great addition! I know today isn't Monday, but I say we make a segment called "Money Talk Mondays" We can talk about various topics like the lifespan of a dollar and how to shorten or lengthen that lifespan and when it's appropriate to do so! Let me know your thoughts. I'm sure this would get the people going. 😉

Well I guess I’ll start since nobody else wants to go first 😅 The names Abreu… Xavier Abreu (James Bond reference) My favorite old school YouTuber has to be Rendog. The next runner up has to be the guys over at The Yogscast.
